A total of 12 pairs contested the event.

Saturday's Pairs event was won by Jim Wallis / Tony Bardon, who were playing in the event for their 37th consecutive year. The Category B prize went to Howard Baker / Sue Gardner and Category C to Kerry Rutter / Carmel Dwan.

The Teams event on Sunday was won by the Hendrix team (pictured), made up of Jackie Hendrix - Paul Jenkins - Mark Harnack - Fay Stanton. The B category prize went to the Layton Team (Anelle Shaw - Astrid Korfgen - George Gibson - Lynne Layton).

The ANC is an annual event held in a different State every year, and each State and Territory sends a 6-person team in each of the Women's, Seniors, Open and Youth divisions.

A Swiss Pairs event was held over 3 weeks, playing 11 matches, and was ably run by Steve Murray.

Winners were Rhys Dewar / Yuko Colthurst (pictured with club president Gabrielle), and second place went to Kevin O'Loghlin / Mimie Jenman

This is an honour board event, and is run annually. Red masterpoints were awarded.

The A Grade was won by the Stanton Team pictured right (Fay Stanton, Shirley Phillips, Di Rogers, Susie Warren). The B Grade was won by the Hendrix team (Jackie Hendrix - Kay Courts - Margo Solomon - Kerry Thorp), also pictured.

The main event was won by the Rogers team (made up of Susie Warren, Di Rogers, Fay Stanton and Gabrielle Elich - all members of our Club.

What a wonderful day played in the festive spirit. Thanks to director Peter, the dealing team, caddies, and Chris and her many helpers for catering and bar service, and to Congress Convenor Adrienne.

Members from our Club featured in the honours list in all 3 grades.

• A Grade was a clean sweep, with 1st Ken Dawson and Alison Dawson, 2nd Lyn and Jim Martin, and 3rd Di Rogers - Susie Warren
• B Grade 3rd place went to Marjorie MacKinnon / Lynda Laffan
• C Grade 3rd place went to Rhys Dewar / Yuko Colhthurst

This event is scored on a handicap basis too, and handicap winners were Rosemary Crowley and Richard Perry.

There were 32 pairs from all over south east Queensland in a strong field. Overall winners were John Morris - Neven Burica (pictured right holding the trophy, with Club President Gabrielle Elich). Runners-up were Alison Dawson and Ken Dawson.

An Under 300 Masterpoints Pairs event was held alongside the Qld Senior Pairs, and this attracted 18 pairs. Winners were Peter Zanki - Mark Harnack with runners-up with Jackie Hendrix / Margo Solomon.
